Pilates Reformer
The Pilates Reformer machines allow the student to simultaneously stretch and strengthen every muscle in the body. The movement of the platform provides constant core strengthening and stability while you work the muscles of the periphery (hips, legs, shoulders and arms). Classes are held in groups of four with each student on his/her own machine. Previous experience on the Reformer is required before joining a class.

Pilates Matwork
Based on the conditioning work of J.H. Pilates, this class works to strengthen your "core" muscles: abdominals, obliques and back. We add small equipment such as Pilates circles, bands, rollers and balls, to incorporate work for the "periphery": shoulders, arms, hips and legs. Because the muscles are being stretched and strenghtened simultaneously, Pilates creates well-balanced bodies that are flexible and strong, without adding excess bulk.

Standing Pilates
Get off the mat! Standing Pilates transforms some of the traditional Pilates Matwork excercises into a standing format that enables the exerciser to perform postures without equipment or the mat to use as a reference point. This shift in gravity changes the work and adds balance challenges while benefiting areas such as the pelvic floor and hips that are difficult to reach with traditional exercise methods. This is a great addition to your Mat or Reforemer work as it allows you to transfer the strength and skills you have acquired into a posture you use everyday. If you think the "Hundred" is tough on the mat, try it standing up!

Balletone
Designed for the non-dancer, Balletone offers the best of ballet conditioning in a user-friendly fitness format. This class enhances body awareness, strengthens core muscles and improves overall conditioning.

Kung Fu
Gung Gee for Health: A Three-Month Course

Gung Gee Fook Fu (Taming the Tiger) is one of the Shaolin Temple's oldest forms of chi kung, a combination of movements and breathing techniques used to cultivate Chi, or vital energy. While Tai Chi, a soft, internal form of chi kung, is well-known in the West, Gung Gee, a hard, external style based on the movements of the Tiger and Crane, is a powerful way to exercise your Chi and improve your physical and mental health.
In this three-month course, you will learn this ancient form. Through the use of dynamic tension, you will generate muscle strngth and bone density, enhance your immune system and loosen your joints. Continuing to practice Gung Gee will help you reduce stress, regain energy and build stamina and mental acuity.
Sik Hum is a master of Hung Gar Shaolin style kung fu. A thrity-year student and "inner-door" disciple of Master Tang Kwok Wah, Sifu Hum teaches a traditional system of kung fu in accordance with a centuries-old lineage with roots extending from Lam Jo in Hong Kong, to Lam Sai Wing, Wong Fei Hung, all the way back to the Southern Shaolin Temple in China.

Course Tuition: Three months for $270
