owned by Allston resident Ama Allara. We strive to be a good neighbor,
and support our community with the following initiatives:
ALLSTON VILLAGE MAIN STREETS
AVMS is a public-private partnership of businesses and residents working together
to make Allston a more vibrant place to live and work. Ama co-chairs the
Promotion Commitee of Allston Main Streets, and organizes the annual Rock City
Prom, Rock City Style Show, the Washington Allston Breakfast and the Taste of Allston. These fundraising
events highlight Allston's independant businesses, raise money to revitalize
the neighborhood, and bring neighbors together for fun.
ACCELERATED CURE PROJECT FOR MS
The Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis is a national not-for-profit based in Boston, dedicated to curing MS by determining its causes. Rock City Body's owner, Ann Marie Allara, personally understands the devastating nature of this incurable disease, which took the life of her father, Michael Allara, when he was only 39 years old. Rock City Body is proud to support the important work of the ACP, and hosts an annual fundraiser each January, "the Wellness Resolution", to raise funds and awareness. The Wellness Resolution is an afternoon of wellness, fitness and beauty services, plus entertainment, healthy food and a silent auction -- if you missed it this year, we hope you'll join us next January!
BIG SISTER ASSOCIATION
The Big Sister Association pairs volunteer mentors with girls ages 7-14, who meet weekly to offer one on one support, guidance and friendship. Rock City Body honors the dedication and committment of these volunteers by offering a free fitness or dance workshop each month for Big & Little Sister pairs. We invite members of the Rock City Body community to share your skills & talents in a workshop with our sisters!

Rock City Body is now accepting the Boston Community Change Card. BICYCLE BENEFITS
Bicycle Benefits is a progressive bicycling program designed to reward individuals and businesses for their commitment to cleaner air, personal health, and the use of pedaling energy in order to create a more sustainable community. The program's continual growth decreases parking demand, increases helmet use, and improves cyclists' safety and health by putting more people on bikes. Rock City Body offers a 10% discount on a single class or monthly membership to students who show their Bicycle Benefits helmet sticker at time of purchase. Stickers also give the rider discounts at other businesses around Boston, and can be purchased at RCB for $5 or online at www.bicyclebenefits.org.
